Full-Time HND Graduates Now Eligible for NYSC Mobilisation – Minister of Education

In a landmark announcement, the Minister of Education has confirmed that full-time Higher National Diploma (HND) graduates are now eligible for mobilisation into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The decision, which aligns with ongoing education reforms, seeks to bridge the gap between HND and Bachelor’s degree holders in national service participation. The minister emphasized that this move recognizes the critical role of polytechnic graduates in national development and ensures equal opportunities for all qualified Nigerian youths.

“This is a major step towards educational inclusivity and skills recognition. HND holders will now have the same platform to serve their country as university graduates,” the minister stated.

The announcement has sparked widespread reactions, with students and stakeholders praising the decision as a long-overdue reform.
