Ikulu Chiefdom Pledges Support for Peace, Unity, Development in Zangon Kataf

The Ikulu traditional Chiefdom has reaffirmed its commitment to peace, unity, and mutual understanding as the foundation for sustainable development, pledging to work closely with government policies to achieve meaningful progress.

The assurance was given during an engagement meeting at the Agwom Ikulu palace, Kamuru Ikulu, where the overseer of the Chiefdom, Dr. Ayasal Anthony, received the Member representing Zangon Kataf constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Samuel Kambai, alongside the Executive Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Council, Engineer Joseph Bege Gaiya.

Dr. Anthony noted that the Ikulu people have always supported government initiatives aimed at improving lives, describing the lawmaker’s familiarization visit as timely.

“Ikulu Chiefdom is committed to working with government and relevant stakeholders to move the Chiefdom and Zangon Kataf LGA forward,” he stated, commending Hon. Kambai’s inclusive leadership style.

Hon. Kambai, in his remarks, said the visit was part of his strategy to consult widely with traditional councils and community members for more effective representation and grassroots development. He praised the Ikulu Chiefdom under Dr. Anthony for fostering peaceful coexistence among diverse groups in the area.

Also speaking, Chairman Gaiya stressed that engaging traditional institutions is vital to helping Governor Uba Sani’s administration deliver good governance, urging the Chiefdom to sustain its support for government at all levels.

The event drew district heads, village heads, hardos, traditional title holders, and community members, all reaffirming their readiness to collaborate for peace and progress.
