FRSC Decorates 167 Promoted Personnel in Katsina

Joy and celebration swept through the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Katsina as 167 personnel were decorated following a nationwide promotion exercise. The event, which held between Wednesday, September 17, and Thursday, September 18, 2025, saw both officers and marshals bask in the recognition of their hard work and dedication.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Maxwell Kaltungo Lede, urged the newly promoted staff to reciprocate the Corps Marshal’s commitment to staff welfare with renewed dedication and productivity.

“The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, mni, is a proactive leader whose progressive approach prioritises staff welfare as a transformative leadership strategy,” Lede said. “This promotion is not just a gesture of support but a call for greater responsibility. To whom much is given, much is expected.”

According to him, 15 officers and 152 marshals across the Katsina command, including the state headquarters and its units, benefitted from the exercise. He stressed that welfare policies under the Corps Marshal’s leadership are investments aimed at boosting loyalty, productivity, and overall staff satisfaction.

Lede pledged that the command would continue to provide a conducive work environment for personnel while assuring road users of improved safety on highways. He, however, cautioned staff against indolence and indiscipline, reminding them that with promotion comes greater responsibility.

The Sector Commander also expressed gratitude to Governor Umar Dikko Radda, PhD, and the people of Katsina State for their continuous support and hospitality, which have provided an enabling environment for the Corps to thrive.
