Crowd Storms PH Airport to Welcome Governor Fubara

Residents of Port Harcourt trooped to the airport this morning in anticipation of the arrival of Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Although details of the Governor’s return remain sketchy, excitement ran high among supporters who converged on the airport early, waving and chanting solidarity songs.

The development follows Thursday’s tense wait at the State Government House, where residents had also gathered expecting the Governor, though he did not appear.

By Friday, however, indications emerged that Fubara was scheduled to return to the state this morning — a signal that drew large numbers of loyalists determined to give him a rousing welcome.

Bandit Kingpin Ado Allero Slaughters Zamfara Monarch Amid Ongoing Peace Talks

In a shocking twist to the much-publicized North West peace dialogue, notorious bandit kingpin Ado Allero , who has been leading negotiations, has been linked to the slaughter of a traditional ruler in Zamfara State. Police Raid Criminal Hideout in Uyo, Nab Suspect with Drugs

  Operatives of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command stormed a criminal hideout in Ikot Oku Ikono, Uyo, in the early hours of Sunday, September 21, 2025, arresting one suspect and seizing illicit substances. The raid, carried out around 1:00 a.m. following actionable intelligence, led to the arrest of Kabiru Isa , a resident of Udi Street, Uyo. Other suspects reportedly fled the scene. A search of the hideout uncovered five bundles of suspected cannabis and capsules suspected to be Tramadol , which have since been handed over to relevant authorities. Police spokesperson, DSP Timfon John , confirmed the arrest, noting that Isa remains in custody while investigations continue.
