Gov Buni Leads State Delegation To Emir of Gudi's Funeral

The Yobe State, Governor (Dr) Mai Mala Buni on Friday led a government delegation to the funeral of the late Emir of Gudi, Alh. Isa Bunuwa Madugu Ibn Khaji, who died yesterday in a hospital in Abuja after a protracted illness.


In a press statement signed and released by Mamman Mohammad DG press and media affairs to the governor said the Governor who was attending a state function in Abuja cut short his engagements to personally attend the funeral of the late Emir.


Gov. Buni was accompanied by the Speaker Yobe state House of Assembly Hon. Chiroma Buba Mashio, Sen. Mohammed Bomoi, Sen. Musa Mustapha, and Members of the House of Representatives.


Others include the Secretary to the State Government Baba Malam Wali, Members of the state assembly, Hon. commissioners, Special Advisers, Local Government Council Chairmen, Emirs, Clerics, party stalwarts and thousands of sympathizers.


The Governor prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the late Emir.


He called on the people to remain upright, and forgive one another because, "everyone would die, when, where and how is known only to Almighty Allah" 


"The fall of the yellow leaf is a warning to the green ones"  he reminded the people.


Gov. Buni described the death of the royal father as a monumental loss to the family, Gudi Emirate, Yobe State and Nigeria.
