In a nation gripped by soaring food prices, Yobe State has emerged as Nigeria’s most affordable state, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). 

Thanks to Governor Mai Mala Buni’s bold agricultural programme—anchored on irrigation farming, improved seedlings, and rural infrastructure—food remains cheaper in Yobe than anywhere else, making the state a model for tackling food inflation.
