Troops of Operation Hadin Kai Eliminate 24 Terrorists in Major Offensive Across Borno and Adamawa

In a sustained onslaught against Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists, troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), backed by the Nigerian Air Force, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters, have neutralized 24 insurgents during coordinated operations conducted from July 4 to July 9 across Borno and Adamawa States.

Military intelligence sources revealed that the series of ambushes and clearance missions targeted known insurgent routes and hideouts, resulting in the destruction of terrorist camps, recovery of weapons, and disruption of logistics supply chains.

The first successful strike took place on July 4 at Platari, where troops intercepted and ambushed insurgents traveling from Sambisa towards the Timbuktu Triangle. Three terrorists were gunned down in the encounter.

Later the same day, another ambush based on intelligence reports at Komala led to the killing of one insurgent and the seizure of logistics materials, including motorcycles, mechanical parts, and food items.

In Konduga LGA, a night ambush at Kawuri on July 4 resulted in two terrorists being eliminated while attempting to move supplies. Recovered items included salt, detergents, seasoning, and other essentials, indicating active resupply efforts.

On July 5, troops foiled an infiltration attempt at the Madarari IDP camp, killing one insurgent and recovering ammunition, while the remaining attackers fled with gunshot wounds.

A fighting patrol on July 6 in Leno Kura engaged terrorist elements in a multi-pronged assault, leaving three insurgents dead. Further ambushes along Ngoshe-Gava and Amuda-Gava roads saw additional clashes, with one terrorist killed and others escaping.
