Troops Eliminate Terrorists, Dismantle Boko Haram Hideouts in Borno State Raid

In a decisive offensive against terrorism, soldiers from the 7 Division under Sector 1 of Operation Hadin Kai have carried out a successful clearance mission in Borno State, targeting Boko Haram (JAS) strongholds in the Tangalanga and Bula Marwa areas.

According to reports obtained by Zagazola Makama, the operation was launched on July 7 following reliable intelligence that revealed the presence of insurgents operating in the region.

During the advance on Tangalanga, the troops encountered resistance but swiftly neutralized two Boko Haram fighters. Acting on fresh intelligence, the troops then moved towards Bula Marwa, where a concentration of terrorists had reportedly gathered.

As the soldiers approached the camp, the insurgents attempted to escape in various directions. One of the fleeing fighters was gunned down during the chase, while key terrorist structures at the location were destroyed by the advancing troops.

The operation was executed without any casualties among the military personnel. Items recovered from the scene included six AK-47 rifle magazines, 90 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, and a Boko Haram flag.

This latest action underscores the ongoing efforts by Operation Hadin Kai to uproot remnants of terrorist elements and restore lasting peace to Nigeria’s Northeast.
