Tragedy in Bauchi: 25-Year-Old Man Arrested for Fatally Attacking Father with Hoe

A 25-year-old man, Adamu Abdullahi, has been taken into custody by the Bauchi State Police Command for allegedly killing his father, Abdullahi Musa, during a heated domestic altercation in Rumbuna village, Giade Local Government Area.

The incident reportedly occurred around 2:00 p.m. on July 7, when a dispute between father and son escalated into violence. According to police sources, Adamu struck his 60-year-old father on the head with a hoe, inflicting serious injuries that led to his collapse.

Responding swiftly, police officers arrived at the scene and rushed the victim to the General Hospital in Giade. Sadly, he was pronounced dead while receiving medical attention.

The suspect was arrested on the spot and is currently being held as the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) conducts a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

Authorities have yet to reveal the motive behind the attack, but the case has sparked concern among residents over rising incidents of domestic violence in the region.
