Suspected Terrorists Gun Down Two Brothers in Yobe State

Tragedy struck in Yobe State on Wednesday as two brothers were brutally killed in a suspected terrorist ambush along the Kirbiri–Buni Yadi road in Gujba Local Government Area.

Local sources identified the victims as 40-year-old Goni Bukar and 35-year-old Modu Dangal. The duo were said to be riding their bicycles from their native Kirbiri village to Buni Yadi when they fell into the hands of gunmen, believed to be terrorist operatives, who shot them at point-blank range.

Residents believe the attackers may be former Boko Haram insurgents who had allegedly re-integrated but remain active in the region.

After the fatal attack, the bodies were transported to the Yobe State Specialist Hospital in Buni Yadi, where medical officials confirmed both men dead on arrival. They were later handed over to their grieving family and buried in accordance with Islamic customs.
