Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi Leads Mu’assasa Team to Console Gov Radda Over Buhari’s Demise

Renowned Islamic scholar and spiritual leader, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Usman Bauchi, led a delegation from the Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation (Mu’assasa) on a condolence visit to the Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, following the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The delegation was received by Governor Radda at the Government House, Katsina this afternoon, where Sheikh Ibrahim offered  prayers for the late President, his family, and the continued peace and prosperity of Katsina State.

Speaking on behalf of the Mu’assasa, Sheikh Ibrahim described the late Buhari as “a God-fearing leader, deeply humble and devoted to the service of his people and country.” He prayed for Allah's mercy upon his soul and called on present and future leaders to follow Buhari’s path of honesty, self-discipline, and justice.

“We came here to offer our prayers and stand in solidarity with the people of Katsina. May Allah forgive Baba Buhari, grant him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus, and comfort all those he left behind,” he said.

Responding, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda thanked Sheikh Ibrahim and the Mu’assasa team for their visit, describing it as both spiritually uplifting and deeply reassuring to the people of Katsina during this time of national mourning.

“We sincerely appreciate this noble visit and your prayers for the repose of our beloved father, President Muhammadu Buhari. Your presence here is a source of strength and healing for us,” the Governor said.

Governor Radda reaffirmed that the late Buhari lived and led with integrity, resisting the temptations of wealth and power. “He had every chance to enrich himself, but he chose a life of principle. Twice he served this country as President—and yet remained humble and incorruptible. This is the Buhari we knew and served,” he said.

Reflecting on his time working under President Buhari in Abuja, Governor Radda recalled the late leader’s deep commitment to national development.

“When I was Director General at SMEDAN,  for capital projects, we saw something truly remarkable—President Buhari ensured 100% release of the capital budget. That kind of consistency had never happened in Nigeria before. It’s a legacy that still speaks for itself.”

He also urged leaders, especially the younger generation, to take inspiration from Buhari’s life. “Let us serve with sincerity. Let us fear Allah. Let us resist greed. These are the values that defined Baba Buhari’s journey.”

Governor Radda concluded by praying for continued peace in Nigeria and blessings upon Sheikh Ibrahim and his foundation.

“Baba Buhari is gone, but his legacy remains in our hearts. May Allah forgive him, strengthen your faith, and grant you safe return to your various destinations.”

The delegation included prominent scholars and senior officials of the Mu’assasa Foundation, reflecting their close spiritual and historical ties to both the late President and Katsina State.
