NURTW Dutsin-Ma Suspends Travel on Turare–Yantumaki–Marabar Kankara Route Over Insecurity

In a bold response to escalating insecurity, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State, has suspended all travel on the troubled Turare–Yantumaki–Marabar Kankara route.

The union says the decision follows a surge in bandit attacks and security threats that have made the once-busy corridor too dangerous for passengers and drivers.

Effective immediately, all commercial vehicles will be diverted to the Kafinsoli–Gidan Mutum Daya axis until further notice.

Passengers are urged to cooperate and prioritize safety as authorities work to restore normalcy.

As fear grips the region, this sudden route change underscores the growing impact of insecurity on daily life in Katsina.
