Crowds Roar in Tehran, Baghdad as Iran-Israel Ceasefire Sparks ‘Victory’ Celebrations

Massive rallies erupted across Tehran and parts of Iraq on Tuesday as jubilant crowds took to the streets to celebrate what many are calling a “victory” following the newly brokered ceasefire between Iran and Israel.

Waving national flags and chanting anti-Israel slogans, thousands of Iranians flooded central squares in the capital, while similar scenes played out in Baghdad and southern Iraqi cities, where Iran-backed groups held their own “victory marches.”

The ceasefire, which came after weeks of escalating military tensions and cross-border strikes, has been hailed by Iranian state media as a “strategic triumph” and a “humbling blow” to Tel Aviv. In Tehran, loudspeakers blared patriotic songs, and posters of slain General Qassem Soleimani were held aloft by demonstrators proclaiming resistance success.

In Iraq, members of powerful paramilitary factions loyal to Iran joined civilians in the celebrations, describing the truce as “proof that the resistance front cannot be broken.”

While international reactions have ranged from cautious optimism to skepticism, the mood in Iran and among its regional allies is one of defiance and dominance.

As the dust settles, analysts warn that the situation remains fragile — but for now, the street belongs to the jubilant crowds shouting “Death to Israel!” and “Victory to the Resistance!” across the heart of the Middle East.
