It is with profound sorrow that the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Borno State Council, received the news of the passing of Mr. Ndahi Pindar Sawa JP, our esteemed former Vice Chairman and retired Director of Press, Government House Maiduguri.
Mr. Sawa was truly a pillar of the Borno State media community and a dedicated member of the NUJ. His tenure as Vice Chairman was marked by exemplary leadership, a deep commitment to journalistic ethics, and a genuine passion for the welfare of journalists in the state. His service as Director of Press at the Government House was characterized by professionalism, integrity, and a deep understanding of the vital role of communication in governance.
Mr. Sawa’s contributions to the NUJ and to the field of journalism in Borno State are immeasurable. He will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his kindness, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to the principles of our profession.
