Radda Hails Katsina Students' National Win

 

Katsina State Governor, Malan Dikko Umaru Radda, has congratulated Katsina State students for their participation at the National AGILE Competition and emergence as the 

first position in Entrepreneurship and third in both boys' and girls' volleyball categories.

"This national victory achievement reflects our administration's commitment to nurturing young minds and building their entrepreneurial capacity," Governor Radda stated. 

"Our 'Building Your Future' agenda prioritizes quality education and skills development, and today's victory demonstrates that Katsina youths are ready to compete globally and lead Nigeria's economic transformation," the Governor added. 

Sixty-five students from Katsina State public secondary schools participated in ten competitive categories including Digital Literacy, Poetry Outloud, Debate, Waste to Wealth, Spelling Bee, Painting, Basketball, and Volleyball during the National Children's Day celebration at the State House. 

The competition, part of the AGILE Project implementation support mission, brought together seven AGILE parent states and eleven additional financing states.

The Katsina delegation was led by Hon. Zainab Musa Musawa, Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, alongside Mallam Mustapha Shehu, Executive Secretary of Katsina State Development Management Board, Executive Director Hajia Rukayya Hamza Usman, PIU members, and dedicated coaches.

The final session was graced by the Wife of the President, Senator Remi Tinubu, the Sultan of Sokoto, and Northwest CAN Chairman, among other distinguished dignitaries.

The National Project Team and World Bank representatives specifically commended Katsina State for its exceptional leadership in AGILE Project implementation and for consistently supporting other participating states while maintaining high standards in participant selection based on established criteria.
