Award Recognizes Integrity, Discipline, and Dedication to Humanity

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina State Commandant, Aminu Datti Ahmad, fsf, MADM, was on Wednesday conferred with the prestigious "Peace Ambassador" Award by the Advocacy for Peace and Value Re-orientation — a non-governmental body championing integrity, ethical leadership, and national values.

The Executive Director of the organization, Comrade Abubakar A. Oyibo, while presenting the award and a Certificate of Integrity Stewardship, lauded Commandant Ahmad for his selfless service, administrative discipline, sincerity of purpose, and unwavering commitment to humanity and ethical governance.

“This honour is a recognition of your uncommon integrity, service to humanity, and values-driven leadership. It is a symbolic reward for your dedication and discipline,” Oyibo stated.

In his acceptance speech, Commandant Ahmad expressed heartfelt appreciation to the organization, reaffirming his commitment to the safety and security of Katsina State. He attributed his leadership style to the inspiration drawn from NSCDC Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, whom he described as a beacon of professionalism and excellence.

“This award is not just a recognition—it is a challenge to do more,” Ahmad remarked. “We remain committed to the protection of lives, critical infrastructure, and national peace.”

Commandant Ahmad also emphasized the importance of synergy between civil society and security agencies, calling for sustained collaboration in the pursuit of national peace and ethical transformation.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Deputy Commandant Bala Zakka Shekari, Head of Intelligence and Investigation, congratulated Commandant Ahmad on the well-deserved recognition and hailed the NGO’s efforts in promoting excellence and civic responsibility.

The event climaxed with group photographs, the official conferment of the award, and the presentation of the certificate.
