MD Fed. Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital bags traditional title of ‘Zaruman Kware’

 

The District Head of Kware in Sokoto State, Alhaji Muhammadu Dan’iya, has conferred the traditional title of ‘Zaruman Kware’, on the outgoing Medical Director of the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Kware, Prof. Shehu Sale.


Newsmen reports he was installed on Saturday by Dan’iya just as Sale bowed out of office on the same day.


Speaking at the epochal event, the traditional ruler urged Sale to sustain his extant community development initiatives.


Dan’iya said that the conferment of the traditional title was meant to recognise the meritorious contributions and developments Sale made during his stewardship at the hospital and the larger Kware community.


He explained that Sale, a Consultant Psychiatrist and a Master Trainer, had facilitated tremendous transformations in the hospital through myriad of infrastructural developments and enhanced service delivery.


According to him, the celebrant, during his tenure, recruited many Kware indigenes, supplied potable water to the community and supported all forms of community engagements.


Dan’iya emphasised,”Development bring people together and fosters peace,” urging the newly appointed title holder to be sincere in all his future endeavours.


He stressed that the title was the first to doled out in the chiefdom to appreciate Sale’s overwhelming performances in the hospital.


Dan’iya remarked that Sale deserved the pioneer title as he had provided service, educational development to the youths and the overall healthcare delivery across the country.


The district head also encouraged him to continue working towards fostering peace and unity in the country and not to forget Kware in his future engagements.


Responding, Sale expressed gratitude to the traditional ruler for the invaluable honour and pledged to leverage his vast wealth of experience to drive meaningful contributions to the area.


He said that traditional rulers were the custodians of the people at the grassroots level, and assured more support to ensure his success in all programmes and activities.


According to him, Kware is now his second home as history would always recognise him as a person who lived and made contributions during his stewardship as the medical director of FNPH Kware.


A former Deputy Governor of Zamfara, Sen. Hassan Nasiha, thanked disstrict head for the distinct recognition, which would surely spur Sale for more education and service to humanity.


The event was witnessed by Vice Chairman of Kware Local Government Area, Alhaji, Muhammad Umar, Wazirin Sokoto, Prof. Sambo Wali-Junaid, government officials, friends, family members and other distinguished personalities from different parts of Nigeria.


NAN recalls that, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Salako, had on Wednesday inaugurated some projects executed during the tenure of Sale.


They included: Molecular Laboratory, Intensive Care Unit, Regional Women and Children Drug Dependency Treatment Centre as well as an Accident and Emergency Centre.


“Others were; Multipurpose Students’ hostel, School of Post Basic Nursing (Psychiatry), Information, and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre, Hall and alternative power supply, among others.


The minister highlighted that the projects, without any doubt, would positively result in better outcomes for the patients who routinely throng the hospital
