Katsina Gears Up for Arewa Tech Fest 2.0 as Governor Radda Drives Digital Innovation in the North

The Katsina State Government has confirmed that the second edition of Arewa Tech Fest will take place from May 20 to 22, 2025, at the Continental Event Center, Katsina.

This year’s edition, themed “Innovation for Impact: Technology as a Catalyst for Economic Transformation,” was announced by the Local Organizing Committee at the Katsina Directorate of ICT. The festival promises to bring together a dynamic mix of tech leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, creatives, policy influencers, and changemakers who are reshaping the digital future of Northern Nigeria.

After the success of its maiden edition in Kano, the upcoming Tech Fest aims to position Katsina as a key hub in the region’s growing digital ecosystem.

Under the forward-thinking leadership of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, Katsina is undergoing a profound shift from a traditional agricultural base to a knowledge-oriented, tech-enabled economy. His administration has launched several groundbreaking initiatives, such as:

  • Transforming KATDICT into a central engine for ICT growth.
  • Removing Right-of-Way fees to encourage faster broadband deployment.
