As Muslims across Nigeria prepare for the upcoming Sallah celebration, the Yobe State Government under the forward-looking leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, has set the tone for a secure and peaceful festival with a comprehensive statewide security blueprint.

At the forefront of this proactive approach is the Senior Special Assistant on Security Matters, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd), whose strategic coordination with security agencies has earned praise across the state.

With heightened patrols, intelligence-driven surveillance, and community engagement, Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam has reassured residents that Yobe will celebrate Sallah in peace and harmony. “Governor Buni has given clear directives that no effort should be spared in safeguarding lives and property during the festive season,” the retired military general stated.

Security operatives have been deployed across major towns, prayer grounds, markets, highways, and public gathering points, with special attention to vulnerable areas. The initiative also includes collaboration with traditional rulers, local vigilante groups, and community leaders to ensure timely information-sharing and swift response to any suspicious activity.

“This is not just about security, it’s about confidence. The people of Yobe deserve to celebrate in joy without fear,” said Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam.

Governor Buni, renowned for his people-centric governance style, has consistently prioritized peace and stability as cornerstones of development. His administration’s synergy with security agencies continues to place Yobe among the most peaceful states in the North-East.

With the Sallah festival just days away, residents across Yobe are breathing a sigh of relief — confident that under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni and the vigilance of Brig. Gen. Dahiru Abdulsalam, safety remains not just a promise, but a reality.
