BREAKING: Troops Annihilate 60 Terrorists in Midnight Bita Blitz — ISWAP Suffers Major Blow

In a thunderous overnight showdown, troops of Operation Hadin Kai have dealt one of the deadliest blows yet to Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, neutralising at least 60 fighters in a coordinated land and air onslaught in Bita, Borno State.

According to frontline intelligence obtained by counterinsurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the fierce battle ignited at 1:09 a.m. Friday, when insurgents attempted a surprise assault on troops under the 26 Task Force Brigade of Sector One. But what was meant to be a deadly ambush turned into a catastrophic rout for the terrorists.

A-29 Super Tucano jets and the Dragon air platform were rapidly deployed, delivering precision strikes that turned the tide in favour of the Nigerian forces. The joint operation raged until 3:23 a.m., leaving a trail of carnage in its wake.

"We’ve confirmed the neutralisation of no fewer than 60 terrorists, destruction of two gun trucks, and follow-up strikes are still ongoing,” a senior military source revealed.

The ground troops didn’t rest on their laurels. Pursuit operations were immediately launched to hunt down fleeing insurgents, as air platforms circled back for fresh strikes, confirming additional gun trucks destroyed.

Military officials described the operation as “one of the most devastating and coordinated blows” against the insurgents in recent months, praising the synergy between air and land components.

As of press time, mop-up and exploitation missions continue across the Bita axis — with the Nigerian flag flying high over yet another fallen terrorist stronghold.
