BREAKING: Police Nab 14 More Suspects in Deadly Rano Divisional HQ Attack Claimed DPO's Life
In a major breakthrough, the Kano State Police Command has arrested 14 additional suspects linked to the brutal attack on the Rano Divisional Police Headquarters, which tragically claimed the life of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO).
Reliable sources confirmed to Zagazola Makama that the suspects were rounded up during a coordinated house-to-house raid in Rano. The operation, launched around 1:30 a.m. on May 29, was led by the no-nonsense Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations (ACPOL DOPS), ACP Suleiman Aliyu Gusau, following actionable intelligence gathered in the wake of the assault.
Among those arrested are: Abdullahi Ibrahim, Sani Umar, Yusuf Aliyu, Jibrin Abdulsalam, Dahiru Usman, Ibrahim Usman, Ismail Usman, Rabiu Usman, Abdullahi Dahiru Sale, Ladi Ismail (female), Usaini Salisu, Musa Hassan, Mohammed Adamu Abdul, and Umar Mohammed.
“They are all suspected to have actively participated in the attack on the Rano Police Divisional Headquarters,” a senior police source disclosed.
The Kano Command has assured the public that a discreet and thorough investigation is ongoing to unmask the full network behind the deadly assault and ensure that justice is served.
The daring raid on the station sent shockwaves across the state, especially following the killing of the DPO, a loss that security agencies have vowed will not go unpunished.
