NAF Appoints Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame as New Spokesperson, Redeploys AVM Akinboyewa
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has appointed Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame as its new spokesperson, succeeding Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, who has been redeployed to the Defence Headquarters as Director of Civil-Military Relations (DCMR).
A seasoned officer with vast experience in logistics, strategic planning, and defence management, Air Commodore Ejodame is a member of the 45th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Transport and Logistics, and a PhD in Information Systems and Management Studies from the University of Sheffield, UK.
His distinguished career spans key military and strategic training, including logistics courses at the United Nations International Peace Support Operations Centre in Kenya and the Erasmus Intensive Programme in Portugal. He also excelled at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, and the Air Force War College, Makurdi, earning top honors.
Air Commodore Ejodame has held several critical appointments, including Directing Staff at the National Defence College, Abuja, and Pioneer Dean of the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at AFIT, Kaduna. He also served as Nigeria’s Defence Adviser at the High Commission in Malaysia, covering nine other nations.
A Fellow of the Air Force War College and the National Defence College, he is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). His appointment is expected to strengthen NAF’s public relations and strategic communication, reinforcing professionalism and transparency.
