Katsina Govt Builds Modern Mortuary, Fencing at Danmarna Cemetery
The Katsina State Government has commenced the construction of a modern mortuary, fencing, and other structures at Danmarna Cemetery in Katsina metropolis.
The Executive Chairman of the Katsina State Zakkat and Waqaf Board, Dr. Ahmed Musa, disclosed this after inspecting the project. He revealed that the initiative was made possible through a collected endowment and donation totaling ₦126 million, while the state government covered the remaining cost, bringing the total project sum to ₦169 million.
Project Engineer Yusuf Dantsoho Adamu highlighted key components of the project, which include a fully equipped mortuary, perimeter fencing, two ambulances, and pedestrian walkways across cemeteries in the metropolis.
This initiative aims to enhance burial facilities and improve cemetery management in the state.
