Shettima to Lead Nigeria’s Delegation to 80th UN General Assembly in New York
Nigeria’s Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, will represent President Bola Ahmed Tinibu at the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), scheduled to hold in New York, United States, from Monday, September 22, to Sunday, September 28, 2025.
The high-level gathering will bring together world leaders to deliberate on pressing global challenges, including peace and security, climate change, economic recovery, and sustainable development.
Vice President Shettima is expected to present Nigeria’s position on critical international issues, reaffirm the country’s commitment to multilateralism, and strengthen bilateral engagements with strategic partners during the weeklong summit.
