President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration clocks two years, one of his close allies has declared that those who voted for him in the 2023 general elections have every reason to remain confident in their choice.

In a recent BBC interview, the ally—whose name remains influential in political circles—expressed unwavering support for President Tinubu’s leadership, citing significant strides in security and economic reform.

“Anyone who supported President Tinubu in good conscience and before God stands by that decision without regret,” he said firmly, acknowledging current hardships but pointing to a broader vision of national recovery.

Among the administration’s most controversial but courageous moves was the removal of the fuel subsidy—an action that previous governments sidestepped for years. “It was a painful but necessary decision. Tinubu showed rare political will by ending a drain that cost the country billions,” he noted.

According to him, the savings from fuel and electricity subsidies are now being redirected to critical development projects, empowering both federal and state governments to deliver real dividends of democracy.

While he acknowledged the economic pain many Nigerians are enduring, he called for patience and resilience. “The road may be tough, but the destination is promising. A stronger, more resilient, and prosperous Nigeria is being built, one decision at a time.”

As public discourse swells around the administration’s performance, the ally’s statement strikes a hopeful chord—insisting that Nigeria’s current sacrifices are not in vain but are investments in a better tomorrow.
