Tinubu Meets Trump’s Africa Advisor in Paris, Seeks Strategic U S-Africa Alliance

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday met in Paris with Mr. Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor for Africa under former U.S. President Donald J. Trump, in a high-level discussion aimed at building a strategic economic and security partnership between Nigeria, the U.S., and the broader African continent.

During the meeting, Boulos relayed President Trump’s keen interest in deeper direct engagement with Nigeria as the cornerstone of America’s Africa policy. Talks focused on expanding U.S. investments, advancing energy and infrastructure projects, and promoting trade and job creation.

President Tinubu and Mr. Boulos also exchanged views on regional peace and stability, particularly in the eastern DRC and the Sahel, with both parties pledging actionable support to enhance regional security.

Acknowledging Nigeria’s leadership role on the continent, Trump’s advisor endorsed Tinubu’s efforts to stabilise key African regions and encouraged stronger collaboration moving forward.

President Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to forging transparent and mutually beneficial partnerships that elevate Africa’s standing in the global economy.
